Dr. Marc Pignitter received the H. P. Kaufmann-Prize 2015 of the DGF

Once a year the German Society for Fat Science (DGF) awards the H. P. Kaufmann-Prize to a Young Scientist for his/her outstanding research in the area of lipid sciences.

Dr. Marc Pignitter received this prize for his research on the contribution of edible oils to an adequate supply of vitamin A and E.

Congratulations to Dr. Marc Pignitter for receiving this award!

We are proud, that we have again been able to gain Dr. Jakob Ley of the company Symrise, a leading supplier of flavoring substances, as a guest speaker to the topic "Aromatisierung von Lebensmitteln" ("Aromatization of food").

The presentation will take place within the class on current trends in food research on May, 20th 2015.


Open house to experience Chemistry

On Feburary, 14th, 2015 the Open house to experience Chemistry took place at the Faculty of Chemistry in Vienna.

Our department presented fascinating experients and interesting facts concerning the topic
